A TIME FOR HOPE AND LOVE…
"As long as there is life, there is the possibility
of Love.
And where there is Love, there is the always Hope.
No matter what the mirror says, no matter what your
doctor says,
no matter what the establishment says, there is always
HOPE!"
~Marianne Williamson
In
these lovely, warm, sometimes steamy days of summer,
there are definitely times when we need something that
represents Hope for us. Perhaps you have lost a loved
one, your job, your home, your health or a pet. If so,
you need Hope!
I wrote a newsletter for the Holidays and the New Year
which was mailed out on January 2, 2009, as a gift for
you. I wrote this because I wanted to give you reasons,
through wonderful and extraordinary stories, to be
hopeful.
As I sit writing Book Two of Touched by the
Extraordinary, I invite you to again reread this
newsletter which is archived at
TouchedByTheExtraodinary.com because it will
validate for you that no matter how bad times may be,
you are heard, cared about and dearly loved – and it may
give you the Hope you need to see you through difficult
times happening right now.
In the coming weeks and months, I will be speaking in
various locations about what may be meaningful and
hopeful for you. Please, check out what is going on
in
my life to see if it may be helpful for you in
your life!
This
Saturday, August 8th,
My
daughter, Dr. Rebecca Apollon, an emergency
medicine physician, and I have been asked to be guests
on The Medical View: East Meets West, from 10:00
am to 11:00 am on WWDB 860 AM radio . You can also
do what I do…log on live to
www.wwdbam.com. If you have questions, you will
also be able to call in live at (610) 664-4100.
For those of you who miss the show and would still like
to listen to it, you can find the show archived
at
www.TheHealingConsciousness.com.
If you are dealing with any kind of loss,
be it a loved one, your health, your financial security,
including your job, your home or the loss of a dream,
please join us for this show. We will be discussing
various aspects of the grieving process, normalizing
so much of what we often feel is out of the ordinary –
and looking at how to best manage such challenging
times so that we experience a sense of hope,
healing and well-being.
The three amazing doctors who have created this
particularly valuable, popular and informative show are
gynecologist and obstetrician, Dr. Amy Harvey,
cardiologist, Dr. Deirdre Walsh, and breast cancer
surgeon, Dr. Beth DuPree.
Their intent is to create a healthy balance of
healing the BODY, MIND & SPIRIT by
integrating the Eastern modalities of healing with the
latest medical breakthroughs in Western technology.
On Monday, September 21st,
at 7:00 pm, at the Princeton Public Library, on
Witherspoon St., in Princeton, New Jersey, my
friend and co-author, Yanni Maniates and I , will be
presenting a talk based on our book and CDs,
Intuition Is Easy and Fun: The Art and Practice of
Developing Your Natural Born Intuition. Yanni, a
teacher of meditation and self-mastery, is also the
author of
Magical Keys to Self-Mastery.
We will be discussing the many practical and spiritual
gifts of developing your intuition, as well as sharing
stories of intuition, hope and miracles from our work,
including Touched by the Extraordinary.
Yanni and I are eagerly looking forward to talking with
you about how developing your intuition can enhance and
heal your life.
For those of you who would like to purchase
Intuition Is Easy and Fun,
Touched by the Extraordinary or Magical
Keys to Self Mastery, the books and CDs will be
available for purchase and a book signing will follow
our presentation.
On Wednesday, October 7th,
2009, I will be speaking as part of the
Longevity University about “Extraordinary
Gifts of Aging and Loss: Healing with Miracles of Hope
and Love. This will take place in Telford, PA at St.
Paul’s Lutheran Church at 1:30 pm.
I am
excited about sharing the insights and lessons
I’ve learned from decades of research and my clinical
work which provides information that helps all of us to
understand our place in the Universe – and how
extraordinary and powerful we are in determining our own
quality of life – especially as we age and mature.
Longevity University is dedicated to meeting the needs
of senior citizens.
If you are in the area, please come and join us! Light
refreshments will be served. More information will
follow!
On
Sunday morning, October 4th at 6:30 am, on
WOGL 98.1 FM, in
Philadelphia Brad Segall, the award-winning Suburban
Bureau Chief at KYW Newsradio 1060, has invited my
friend and co-author, Yanni Maniates and me to be his
guests on his public affairs program, The
Philadelphia Agenda.
We
will be discussing the value and importance (especially
in these challenging times of financial and economic
insecurity) of learning to develop, trust and apply our
intuitive wisdom in all aspects of our personal and
professional lives.
Yanni and I hope to
highlight basic intuitive strategies and applications
(based on our book and CDs,
Intuition Is
Easy and Fun) with special emphasis on
the practicality of tuning in and listening to your
own higher guidance.
Hope comes in many forms. With the increased ability
to use your intuition, hope rises and fear is
diminished. Our stress level is significantly
reduced and we feel so much more confident, grounded and
peaceful. Please join us for an extremely interesting,
uplifting and entertaining show.
On
Saturday afternoon, November 21st, Yanni and
I hope to see you at The Doylestown Bookstore in

A
Special Note…
Those of you who know me, know that I am not a guru when
it comes to the Internet. However, I am blessed to have
some angels in my life who help me in this area. Heather
O’Hara is one of these beautiful souls, as is my
assistant, CoraLyn Hughes. Together, they enable me to
reach you, your friends and others everywhere who may be
interested in learning more about how extraordinary we
are and how we can better navigate the many challenges
of life.
With
the assistance of these two women, I have created a
presence on
Facebook
and a special group named
Touched by the Extraordinary. This group is
meant to be a place where like-minded souls can come and
share stories of how they have been touched in ways that
enable them to feel and know they are not alone and that
there is reason to be hopeful.
You may wish to check
this out. It offers you the opportunity to not only
share your stories but to also engage in discussion with
others from all parts of the world. I have found this
experience to be especially meaningful and satisfying.
In the meantime, my
wish for each of you is to treasure this very
moment, this very day and those with whom you are
sharing your life. Take time to let others who are
important to you know just how much you care for them.
The quality of your life rests completely in the choices
you make. Choose wisely and choose what feels good.
Choose Hope and
choose Love!
A
Final Thought….
“Love like hope heals. It is the very foundation of
prayer. If we allow hope to mingle with love, the
problem of false hope will evaporate.”
~Larry Dossey,
MD
