Why People Seek Therapy
As I mentioned earlier, therapy is appropriate and beneficial for anyone who feels out of balance, stuck, or disconnected. The circumstances that lead to these states of being are, of course, practically endless. The list below includes many, but not all, of the therapeutic concerns I address with my clients:
-
Restoring balance, harmony, and peace (in other words, healing) for the body, mind, and spirit
-
Surviving and healing from grief and loss (including the loss of a family member or friend, a beloved pet, or even one’s health, hopes, dreams)
-
Coping with the caretaking of loved ones
-
Healing after trauma
-
Healing from stress
-
Healing relationship concerns with family, friends, and colleagues
-
Coping with the imbalance of depression, anxiety, and mood shifts
-
Surviving and thriving in the face (or aftermath) of cancer and other life-threatening illnesses
-
Achieving wellness: emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually
-
Achieving empowerment and freedom (especially with regard to any form of abuse)
-
Reclaiming your inherent power and intuitive wisdom
Healing your (often broken and disconnected) spirit and growing your soul
